This Privacy Policy explains how Alchemist Fintech Group Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 202401002134 (1547984-V)) ("Alchemist", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use this website, in line with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
Information we collect
When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, company (if you provide it), and the message you write.
When you subscribe to updates, we collect your email address.
For security and reliability, we process your IP address and basic request details on a transient basis, for example to rate-limit abusive traffic. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
We use your personal data to respond to your enquiry and communicate with you, to send updates you have requested until you unsubscribe, and to operate, secure, and maintain the website. We do not sell your personal data.
Consent and legal basis
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give by submitting the relevant form, and to pursue our legitimate business interests. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see "Your rights").
Disclosure to third parties
We share personal data only with Hostinger, our hosting and email provider, and only to the extent needed to run this website and deliver your message. Our content management system runs on our own infrastructure, so no third party is involved in storing the content of this site. We may also disclose data where required by law.
Where your data is stored
Our hosting provider stores and processes data on servers located in Singapore, so your personal data is processed outside Malaysia. We take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to be protected to a standard comparable with the PDPA.
Data retention
We keep contact enquiries for 24 months from our last correspondence with you, newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, and server and security logs (including IP addresses) for 30 days. After those periods we delete or anonymise the data, unless the law requires us to keep it for longer.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to or correction of your personal data, limit how it is processed, or withdraw your consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. That inbox is monitored, and we will respond as required by the PDPA.
